Darhl Vercaigne – Founder & President
Darhl is the founder of VCMx, driven by a deeply personal mission to improve Canadian healthcare after the loss of his wife to cancer due to a delayed diagnosis. With a background in leadership and innovation, he is dedicated to building technology that reduces wait times, empowers patients, and supports providers. His vision is to create meaningful change in the Canadian health industry through smarter, more connected care.

Jennifer Hotai – Chief Project Designer
With over 25 years of design experience, Jennifer brings deep expertise in emerging technologies, from virtual reality to generative AI. She is passionate about applying creativity and innovation to projects that drive positive social change. At VCMx, Jennifer leads design strategy and development, helping shape solutions that reimagine how healthcare can better serve patients and providers.

Keerthana Bantu – AI Developer
Keerthana Bantu is a Master of Applied Computing graduate from Wilfrid Laurier University with a background in AI, machine learning, data science, and software development. She is currently working on the Lilium Care AI service, focusing on safe and structured AI workflows for healthcare use cases, including symptom assessment, safety escalation, retrieval-augmented generation, and integration with shared platform services. She is passionate about applying AI in practical, responsible ways that support better decision-making and improve access to care.

Ian Dorion – Blockchain Developer
Ian Dorion is VCMx’s Blockchain Developer, leading the design and development of the Hyperledger Fabric network powering Lilium Care’s secure audit trail and data integrity layer. Ian brings deep expertise in Golang and blockchain architecture, working closely with the AI team to ensure secure, PHIPA-compliant data handling across the platform. Based in Quebec, Ian is a key technical contributor helping bring Lilium Care’s healthcare navigation platform to life.
