A Vision for Change
VCMx was founded with one clear mission: to empower Canadian healthcare through smart, secure infrastructure. After experiencing firsthand how delayed diagnosis and fragmented systems can have devastating consequences, our founder, Darhl Vercaigne, set out to build a solution that bridges the gap between patients, providers, and health systems.
The result is Lilium Care, the first step in the VCMx ecosystem — a platform that integrates AI, blockchain, and secure interoperability to streamline communication, improve diagnostics, and restore efficiency to care delivery.
The VCMx Solution
Our approach targets the most urgent pain points in the healthcare system through a unified digital framework designed for compliance with PHIPA, PIPEDA, and HIPAA. The platform aims to:

Early Progress: The Prototypes
VCMx has released two working prototypes that demonstrate the platform’s design and user experience vision:
- Patient Mobile App Prototype – Showcases a simplified patient journey, from symptom check and triage to booking an appointment with the most suitable provider.
- Healthcare Provider Desktop Prototype – Demonstrates how clinicians can manage schedules, coordinate care, and securely access patient summaries — all in one intuitive dashboard.
While these prototypes are for demonstration only and do not use real healthcare data, they provide a tangible preview of how VCMx’s technology stack will operate in the real world. They reflect our focus on usability, interoperability, and compliance — three pillars essential to healthcare adoption and scalability.
